NBA Players Summit

The National Basketball Players Association (NBPA) is the union for current professional basketball players in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Established in 1954, the NBPA’s mission is to ensure that the rights of NBA players are protected and that every conceivable measure is taken to assist players in maximizing their opportunities and achieving their goals -- on and off the court. The NBPA provides a forum for players to participate in union activities – including executive leadership roles, team representative positions and global community outreach initiatives. The NBPA offers each NBA player the opportunity to get involved in the democratic institution that was created for, continues to exist for and is run by them.

In partnership with BLVCKOPS, the Warehouse participated in part of a three-day summit that exposes NBA players to several different industries, specifically Real Estate, Technology and Entrepreneurship, and focuses on teaching players how to best maximize their platforms. We helped to administer a "SpeedBuild" competition in which participants have less than three hours to build a business from concept to pitch. The panel of judges included famed rapper, entrepreneur, and investor, Chamillionaire, former NFL Running Back, Justin Forsett, and the President of THINK450, Payne Brown.

We were fortunate to work alongside other great founders and speakers such as:
+ Josh Luber - CEO & Co-Founder of StockX
+ Zach Weine - Founder of Overtime
+ Chauncey Billups - NBA
+ Isiah Thomas - Hall of Fame, NBA
+ Trevor Ariza - NBA
+ Trevor Booker - NBA
